2019 | Italy

After spending several days in the Dolomites and visiting the trending and highly photographed Lago Braies, something wasn’t right. I had been there at sunset and in the wee hours of the morning for best light. My images looked like all the photos I’d seen of this place and they were beautiful, but not unique.

While I was wrapping up my morning shoot on the second day, I thought I’d see what my drone could see for a unique angle of this place. That’s when I found boats seemingly floating in the sky amongst an upside down world. It was uniquely perfect.
